Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
- 3+ years Accounts Receivable experience preferred
- 1-3 years professional/healthcare experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, laws, and EOBs
- Understanding of Medical terminology
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
- Basic math skills for calculating anesthesia units and reimbursement
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies for status on outstanding claims
- Process and follow up on appeals to insurance companies
- Refile claims as needed
- Work correspondence daily
- Audit adjustment requests and complete when appropriate
- Resolve manual tasks assigned to AR for follow up
- Maintain an accuracy rating of 97% or greater on audited accounts
- Identify and communicate trends to leadership
- Provide peer payer and system training support
