Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in backend development using Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to define technical plans for significant features with elegant and extensible designs.
- Proficiency in making significant, safe changes within large codebases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Evidence of ownership and proactive engagement in personal and team growth.
- Ability to write clean, high-quality code that is easily understood and maintained by others.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals, providing guidance and support to team members through delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on the product development lifecycle and technical planning.
- Proactively identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Monitor and support the availability and operations of team artifacts, including on-call responsibilities.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards and advocating for them through writing and tech talks.
- Develop team talent by providing regular feedback and leading by example.
