Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant feature or system component delivery.
- Ability to make significant changes in a large codebase safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience seeking feedback proactively from team, manager, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals by leading engineers through ambiguous and open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to participate in ideation and define technical constraints.
- Proactively identify and lead the resolution of project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support system operations and availability by creating metrics, monitoring systems, and handling on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
- Develop team talent by providing feedback and guidance.
