5+ years of experience building backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
Strong system design skills with a track record of delivering maintainable, extensible services.
Proficiency in SQL and working within data-rich environments.
Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure using AWS, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
Fluency in AI-driven engineering and the ability to critically evaluate and own AI-generated code.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and safe production deployments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for distributed team environments.
Proactive, ownership-driven mindset focused on learning and team success.
Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or Chronosphere (nice to have).
Background in fraud prevention, risk systems, or real-time decisioning (nice to have).
Experience building for multiple markets or regions (nice to have).
Experience working in the fintech sector or highly regulated environments (nice to have).

Design and implement real-time fraud decisioning services and APIs in Python or Kotlin.
Build and evolve platforms to enable rapid, low-friction fraud decisioning setup for new global markets.
Integrate region-specific fraud and risk vendors and operationalize machine learning and AI signals.
Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Machine Learning, and Fraud Strategy teams to articulate technical constraints and trade-offs.
Foster a culture of quality through code reviews, design standards, and mentorship.
Support system operations, availability, and on-call efforts by creating and monitoring performance metrics.
