Requirements
- 7+ years in QA or software testing, including 2+ years operating at a senior or staff level.
- Strong hands-on skills in at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript for automation and tooling.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and hands-on experience integrating automated test suites.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes environments and distributed systems.
- Excellent analytical and debugging ability, particularly for backend and infrastructure issues.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted QA workflows for reviewing PRs, writing test plans, and automating test cases.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to advocate for quality across engineering and product.
- Proven ability to stay calm under ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a startup.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks spanning backend services and UI.
- Own and drive test strategy across services and features, ensuring coverage is tied directly to product goals.
- Work closely with engineering and product to shape features early and advocate for testability.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions to provide a testability and reliability lens.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Execute exploratory testing to identify usability issues, edge cases, and regressions.
- Operate effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
