Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Proven track record in developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to define technical plans for significant features with simple, extensible designs.
- Ability to make significant changes in large code bases safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal growth and proactive feedback seeking.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals and guide engineers through complex, open-ended problems.
- Partner with product, design, and analytics stakeholders during the product development lifecycle.
- Articulate technical constraints and evaluate trade-offs in decision-making processes.
- Proactively identify and lead solutions for project, process, or technology business issues.
- Support team operations and availability by creating metrics, monitoring systems, and managing on-call rotations.
- Foster a culture of ownership by establishing code review and design standards.
