Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on production Ruby on Rails experience.
- Solid front-end fundamentals with experience in React, React Native, or similar component-based frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to use data analysis for problem-solving.
- Deep engineering fundamentals: SOLID principles, domain-driven design, and performant query optimization.
- Solid testing practice including unit and integration tests.
- Full-stack development mentality with experience across back-end and front-end.
- Experience with scale and concurrency challenges, including queuing and background processing.
- Fluency in Agile methodologies: sprint planning, story grooming, and stand-ups.
- Proficiency with development tooling: Git, GitHub, and Jira.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core web and mobile application features from back end to front end.
- Own end-to-end delivery of features from architecture through testing and demo.
- Resolve complex engineering problems related to scale, concurrency, background processing, and data ingestion.
- Integrate and maintain third-party tools and services.
- Collaborate across Product, Customer Care, and Finance to scope features and resolve production issues.
- Strengthen the development pod through pull request reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain a secure, well-structured SDLC using testing practices and AI-assisted workflows.
