Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil/site development, stormwater, and permitting.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT desired.
- Ability to develop and oversee drawings for civil plans (site layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches.
- Experience with planning and design of layout and site design projects.
- Experience with site development requirements and permitting, including environmental resource permits.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
- At least 2 years of experience with ICPR.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee civil engineering work focused on site layout, yard piping, paving, grading, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Conduct conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation.
- Complete detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for residential or commercial site civil aspects.
- Conduct stormwater hydraulic calculations and modeling for incorporation into site designs.
- Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
- Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Provide and coordinate engineering services during construction.
- Serve as civil engineer for large multi-discipline projects.
