Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience with iOS engineering design and implementation.
- Deep expertise in Swift and Objective-C.
- Experience guiding iOS architecture with organizational impact (e.g., unidirectional data flow, declarative UI frameworks).
- Proven ability to lead strategic, complex mobile product or platform initiatives.
- Experience applying AI tools thoughtfully to improve engineering speed, quality, and learning.
- Proven track record of driving cross-team and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to shape organizational technical direction and mentor engineers.
- Proficiency with SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency, and Combine.
- Familiarity with Protocol Buffers and Bazel build environments.
- Experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Goose.
Responsibilities
- Guide Neighborhoods mobile technical direction across Cash App and Square.
- Lead strategic, cross-organizational mobile workstreams to redefine local commerce.
- Drive architecture and execution to integrate Neighborhoods features between Cash App and Square platforms.
- Conduct hands-on iOS development using SwiftUI, Workflow, and related technologies.
- Partner with backend, web, and Android teams to ship high-quality features.
- Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across teams.
- Define product scope and technical tradeoffs with cross-functional partners.
- Use and teach AI-assisted workflows for debugging, migration, and rapid iteration.
