Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience with iOS engineering design and implementation.
- Deep Swift and Objective-C experience.
- Experience leading iOS architecture with unidirectional data flow and declarative UI frameworks.
- Experience leading medium-to-large, multi-person mobile initiatives that cross team boundaries.
- Proven ability to work across team boundaries and disciplines to deliver customer solutions.
- Track record of shaping team mission and roadmap while rallying others around technical direction.
- Experience applying AI tools thoughtfully to improve engineering speed, quality, and learning.
- Ability to mentor engineers to expand their scope and impact.
- Proficiency in SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency, and Combine.
- Experience with Protocol Buffers and Bazel.
Responsibilities
- Lead major Neighborhoods mobile workstreams across Cash App and Square.
- Drive cross-team architecture and execution to deliver seamless integration of loyalty, marketing, and ordering features.
- Shape mobile systems connecting customer discovery in Cash App with seller workflows in Square Point of Sale.
- Develop features using SwiftUI and Workflow while maintaining system reliability and polish.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define scope and make technical tradeoffs.
- Use AI tools as a native part of feature development, prototyping, and debugging.
- Mentor engineers and scale practical AI-assisted workflows within the team.
