Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a human-centered design practitioner.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience and team leadership.
- Deep experience in creative, strategic, technical, and operational aspects of design at scale.
- Proven leader experienced in managing complexity and long-term planning.
- In-depth experience cultivating relationships with external stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills for executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Must reside in one of the approved US states.
- Ability to meet requirements for government contracts, including potential background checks.
Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and delivery-focused design culture promoting design excellence and user-centered thinking.
- Lead capabilities-focused professional development opportunities across the Design Org.
- Shape AI adoption within the design practice by identifying opportunities, piloting approaches, and coaching teams.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business development to ensure design strategy alignment.
- Manage a team of up to eight direct reports across multiple projects.
- Guide teams in applying Nava's delivery model to build user-centered products for clients.
- Contribute to business development through proposal development, solutioning, and market research.
