Requirements
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
- Experience building products for public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure).
- Strong product sense for turning complex problems into clear scope and shipped value.
- Demonstrated ability to reason about complex distributed systems and architectural tradeoffs.
- Proven ability to prioritize customer needs against engineering constraints and platform investments.
- Technical fluency in cloud fundamentals including cost/billing concepts, identity/IAM, networking, compute, Kubernetes, and observability.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex ideas and facilitating stakeholder alignment.
- Bias for action with experience in shipping, measuring, learning, and iterating.
- Coding experience is a plus to effectively collaborate with engineers.
Responsibilities
- Translate VP-level strategy into a sequenced backlog of problems, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain a disciplined cadence of backlog refinement and sprint readiness to ensure predictable delivery.
- Leverage hands-on DevOps expertise to identify friction, gaps, and opportunities for platform differentiation.
- Speak with customers 3-5 times a week to test ideas and validate assumptions.
- Partner with engineering leads on sequencing and technical tradeoffs to ensure product intent aligns with implementation.
- Define and measure success metrics such as adoption, reliability, and time-to-value.
- Ensure product requirements account for IAM, auditability, and safety guardrails.
