Requirements
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
- Experience working with or building products for public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure).
- Strong product sense for turning complex problems into clear, shippable value.
- Systems thinking ability to reason about distributed systems, architectural tradeoffs, and platform evolution.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing needs between customers and engineering constraints.
- Technical fluency in cloud fundamentals including cost/billing, identity/IAM, networking, compute, Kubernetes, and observability.
- Excellent communication skills for facilitating alignment and engaging with technical stakeholders.
- Bias for action with experience in iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Coding experience is a plus to assist in effective collaboration with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Translate VP strategy into a sequenced backlog of problems, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain a disciplined cadence of backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and scope negotiation.
- Leverage DevOps expertise to identify friction points and prioritize enhancements for cloud operators.
- Conduct regular customer calls to test ideas, pressure-test tradeoffs, and validate assumptions.
- Partner with Engineering leads to manage technical tradeoffs and ensure product intent aligns with implementation.
- Define and track success metrics such as adoption, reliability, and time-to-value.
- Ensure platform requirements account for security, IAM boundaries, and auditability.
