Requirements
- Advanced Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Optimization or Engineering
- 2-3 years of experience in energy consulting, economic consulting, electric utility, power markets or a related analytical role
- Experience working with large, messy, or complex datasets
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to apply statistical concepts
- Proficiency with Python, GAMS, and Excel for data analysis and presentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative research and analysis related to electricity and power markets, regulatory issues, and litigation matters
- Construct, clean, and manage large and complex datasets using Python and Excel
- Perform data analysis, statistical evaluation, and investigative work with minimal supervision
- Prepare clear, well-organized memoranda, exhibits, and presentations summarizing analytical findings
- Assist in the preparation of expert reports, declarations, and testimony materials
- Review and check work product for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Support fact checking and backup preparation for reports and exhibits
- Review and synthesize information from discovery materials, deposition testimony, academic literature, and public data sources
