Requirements
- 7-10 years of writing and editing experience in a digital newsroom, preferably in business journalism.
- Deep knowledge, experience, and sourcing within the accounting field.
- Proven experience with SEO best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complicated datasets and turn them into compelling consumer storylines.
- Facility with qualitative and quantitative research methods, survey design, and statistical analysis.
- Highly skilled in using spreadsheets and business data sources such as Hoovers and Dun & Bradstreet.
- People leadership experience with the ability to manage staff and freelance writers.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, including experience maintaining an editorial calendar.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality, revenue-generating lists by designing quantitative and qualitative methodologies to identify top accounting firms and practitioners.
- Manage the editorial process from creation to publication, including analysis, reporting, writing, editing, and collaborating with the newsroom.
- Partner with Marketing, Growth, Revenue, and SEO teams to align content strategy with business objectives.
- Oversee the full editorial lifecycle, from gathering nominations and securing partners to data analysis and final reporting.
- Write, assign, and edit high-impact articles and profiles while ensuring a multi-channel presence with video, photography, and social media teams.
- Represent the brand as a voice and face to industry leaders, partners, and audiences, with the potential to program events.
