Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency with core AWS services including IAM, S3, KMS, RDS, VPC, ECS, and EC2.
  • Experience working with multi-account and multi-region AWS production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.
  • Scripting experience with one or more languages such as Python, Bash, or Node.js.
  • Good knowledge of cloud security principles and services including AWS WAF, GuardDuty, Config, and CloudTrail.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
  • Experience with software version control and Git.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC, VPC Peering, Subnets, and Load Balancing.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and the ELK stack.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Availability to work during Central European Time (CET) business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable AWS cloud environments and services.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks in the cloud infrastructure backlog to address immediate needs and plan long-term improvements.
  • Set up infrastructure monitoring and observability solutions, proactively addressing availability, performance or security issues.
  • Learn the current infrastructure and take ownership of day to day cloud operational tasks and activities.
  • Assess new technologies, systems, and services for production readiness, ensuring seamless and stable integration.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation on cloud processes, procedures, and architectures.
  • Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to evaluate and optimize current infrastructure.
  • Contribute in out of office hour cloud deployments once or twice a month.
  • Conduct POCs on new AWS services and third-party tools.
