Requirements
- In-depth experience engineering and operating Microsoft Azure environments in production
- Extensive Terraform experience including modules, state management, workspaces and remote backends
- Strong DevOps background including CI/CD pipeline design and Git-based workflows
- Demonstrable experience leading or mentoring engineers and setting technical direction
- Solid scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash or Python
- Sound understanding of Azure networking, identity (Entra ID), security and governance
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to root-cause analysis
- Ability to participate in on-call / out-of-hours rotas
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform as the primary IaC tool
- Develop and own CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
- Automate provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management across client environments
- Implement and enforce security, governance and compliance baselines including Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault, and networking
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise the performance, reliability and cost of Azure workloads
- Act as a senior technical escalation point and conduct code and architecture reviews
- Collaborate with Solution Architects on design, migrations and onboarding
- Participate in an on-call / out-of-hours rota
