Requirements
- C1 or higher proficiency in both English and French.
- 2+ years experience as a Translator/Interpreter.
- Experience in providing virtual interpretation on appropriate platforms.
- Experience in working independently and with teams to meet deadlines.
- Relevant degree or training in Languages or Communications.
- Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of Trello and Microsoft Teams.
- Close attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of climate change, climate finance, and blockchain technology is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Translation Manager.
- Provide written translation and live interpretation during meetings with foreign stakeholders.
- Translate minutes, reports, and formal letters.
- Answer language-related queries and assist service users requiring language support.
- Cooperate with other volunteers on ad hoc projects.
