Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience with Java.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, streaming systems, and microservices.
- Production experience with big data technologies.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience designing, developing, and scaling high-load systems.
- Ability and willingness to investigate and work with an existing legacy codebase.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate production issues.
- Proactive and reliable approach to solving problems and proposing improvements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- English level: B1 or higher, with the ability to communicate clearly in meetings.
- Willingness to participate in an off-hours PagerDuty rotation.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation to production deployment and support.
- Design and implement scalable big data solutions using Java, contributing to the platform’s infrastructure and architecture.
- Lead complex technical initiatives that directly impact the company’s core business.
- Mentor other developers and support them in solving complex technical challenges.
- Research and evaluate core technologies, external APIs, and third-party service integrations.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, data providers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
- Participate in off-hours PagerDuty rotation.
