Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software testing, test engineering, or software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in Node.js for building automation frameworks and reusable libraries.
- Deep hands-on experience with Playwright framework design and optimization.
- Expertise in API testing, including REST services, contract testing, and schema validation.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD quality integrations and pipeline configurations.
- Understanding of distributed system architectures and cloud-based workflows.
- Experience testing asynchronous, event-driven systems (messaging workflows, eventual consistency, retries).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as SQS, EventBridge, and Lambda.
- Experience creating and managing load and performance testing programs (e.g., k6, JMeter, or Artillery).
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira, XRay, or Zephyr.
- Experience mentoring engineers or QA professionals.
- Regular experience using AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on test framework architecture by enhancing automation standards and establishing scalable testing practices.
- Define and execute load and performance testing strategies, including scenario design, tooling selection, and performance analysis.
- Build and maintain test harnesses for asynchronous and event-driven workflows, validating messaging systems and data consistency.
- Develop strategies for testing complex financial operations, including idempotency, failure handling, and retry mechanisms.
- Integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to improve execution efficiency and defect detection.
- Own API and contract testing strategies to ensure reliable service integrations.
- Establish quality observability through metrics, reporting dashboards, and regression tracking.
- Partner with engineering leaders to incorporate quality considerations into system architecture.
- Promote AI-assisted testing practices to improve test creation and troubleshooting efficiency.
- Mentor QA engineers and contribute to building stronger engineering capabilities within the team.
