Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in system administration or similar role.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Linux administration, AWS resource management, and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Expertise in cloud-based production systems at scale.
- Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, EFS, S3, EKS).
- Production experience running workloads in Kubernetes (EKS) and ArgoCD GitOps.
- Infrastructure as Code experience, primarily using Terraform.
- Familiarity with Python and JavaScript codebases.
- Experience with monitoring/alerting tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and Vector.
- Experience managing data sources like PostgreSQL/Aurora RDS, OpenSearch, Redis, and Kafka.
- Ability to triage and remediate security vulnerabilities (CVEs).
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and applications.
- Respond to system alerts and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and security configuration changes.
- Develop automation scripts and utilize AI to streamline system management and monitoring.
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
- Execute infrastructure lifecycle management including legacy decommissioning and Terraform state cleanup.
- Collaborate with development, network, and security teams on infrastructure design and project alignment.
