Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required
1–4 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health, healthcare, or oncology setting preferred
License-eligible or currently holding a license such as MSW, LSW, LMSW, CPC, or LMHC
Relevant internship or work experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or oncology setting
Dedication to providing evidence-based care
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting
Passion for delivering quality behavioral health care
Eagerness to learn, grow professionally, and gain experience with therapeutic interventions

Responsibilities

Develop a trusted, effective working relationship with the partner oncology practice team
Support patients, clinicians, and practice staff with the identification and intake of patients needing behavioral health support
Manage the mental health of patients with cancer on an assigned patient caseload
Provide brief behavioral interventions tailored for the cancer setting
Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care
Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the available treatment options
Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects
Support psychotropic medication management, focusing on treatment adherence, side effects, and effectiveness
