Requirements
- Deep working knowledge of transformer architectures.
- Strong PyTorch skills, including custom training loops, model modification, and tensor-level debugging.
- Experience with parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques such as LoRA.
- Extensive experience working with large-scale, real-world text data (classification, extraction, embeddings, clustering, search).
- Experience in instruction fine-tuning and serving language models using tools like vLLM or DeepSpeed.
- Solid grounding in classical ML and statistics.
- Practical experience building with GenAI and agentic patterns.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- High ownership and initiative to drive solutions forward.
Responsibilities
- Train, evaluate, and iterate on ML models and agentic systems, including owning custom fine-tuning pipelines.
- Build and maintain LLM-powered features such as retrieval pipelines, reranking systems, and automated taxonomy generation.
- Design and run robust evaluation frameworks, including building test sets and defining performance metrics.
- Improve semantic search and retrieval systems using advanced methods.
- Write production-quality code and collaborate with Engineering on productionisation, monitoring, and data pipelines.
- Translate business needs into practical ML solutions in collaboration with Product and Commercial teams.
- Mentor team members and contribute to code and research reviews.
