Requirements
- 7+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role.
- Experience building distributed data systems.
- Proficiency in programming and debugging Python and SQL.
- Experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow).
- Availability to travel to customers in your region.
- Quantitative degree (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research) is desired.
- Databricks Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership and help customers understand how Databricks solves business problems.
- Lead technical discovery, design architectures, and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects.
- Support strategic projects spanning data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
- Help customers build solutions that integrate with cloud services, internal tools, and 3rd party applications.
- Act as a strategic technical advisor to drive business outcomes for customers.
- Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support users.
- Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks-inspired open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Omnigent.
