Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or pre-sales/consulting.
- Experience building distributed data systems.
- Proficiency in programming and debugging Python.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expertise in Data Engineering (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) OR Data Science/ML (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow).
- Available for travel to customer sites within the region.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Math) is preferred.
- Databricks Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership and solve customer business problems.
- Lead technical discovery and design robust architectures for strategic projects.
- Implement proof of concepts spanning data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL workflows.
- Help customers build solutions that integrate with cloud services, internal tools, and 3rd party applications.
- Act as a strategic technical advisor to drive customer business outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and fellow Solutions Architects.
- Become an expert in and advocate for Databricks open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
