Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer building user-facing products.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and component-driven architecture.
- Experience building backend APIs, services, data models, and integrations for production environments.
- Strong product mindset with focus on usability, information architecture, and developer experience.
- Experience building software for developers, technical users, or complex B2B SaaS workflows.
- Systems thinking skills to create reusable abstractions, composable components, and clean APIs.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous product areas with pragmatic trade-offs.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bias toward continuous shipping and iterative quality.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity.
Responsibilities
- Build and own core Dashboard infrastructure, including application shell, navigation, and shared components.
- Design and implement full-stack product experiences across frontend, backend APIs, data models, and services.
- Modernize the Nylas Dashboard into a fast, polished, and cohesive control plane for developers.
- Develop AI-native and agent-facing features to assist users with configuration, debugging, and integration best practices.
- Partner with backend and platform teams to design clean APIs and service boundaries.
- Optimize Dashboard performance and create reusable abstractions to support consistent product development.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and customer-facing teams to translate feedback into product improvements.
