Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with ownership of production systems.
- Strong engineering fundamentals including data modeling, debugging, code structure, and testing.
- Solid web development fundamentals covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with component-based UI design and state management.
- Proficiency with an MVC-style web framework (e.g., Django, Flask).
- Understanding of HTTP and browser-server interactions.
- Experience building and shipping user-facing web applications.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Comfort reasoning about non-trivial SQL queries and data correctness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, async-friendly environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features used by developers.
- Work across frontend, backend, and data boundaries to deliver reliable systems.
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions.
- Debug complex issues, communicate during incidents, and drive technical fixes.
- Mentor other engineers and provide thoughtful code review feedback.
- Lead initiatives for product and system improvements from architecture to rollout.
