Requirements
- 7+ years experience designing and building scalable backend services in a modern production environment
- Strong proficiency in Go
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture
- Well-versed in SQL and relational database design
- General knowledge of the frontend world with ability to perform basic frontend tasks
- Self-starter with strong ownership, initiative, and ability to navigate complex systems
- Excellent English communication skills
- Must be based in a European time zone
- Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain our core APIs and backend services
- Own the operations and the monitoring of production systems
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs into our platform
- Own design and implementation of new features and services
- Create and suggest engineering standards for the department
- Document solutions including flowcharts, diagrams, and code
- Mentor junior colleagues and onboard new joiners
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders
- Proactively offer insights and present achievements in meetings
