Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer for large capital projects.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
- Experience in underground high voltage transmission line engineering including route design, survey and geotechnical requirements, and cable system calculations.
- Experience developing construction bid packages and providing support during construction.
- Strong command of the English language with effective written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, CYMCAP, and Pull Planner.
- Proficiency in design software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Working knowledge of civil construction laws, codes, and regulatory compliance.
- Project management experience including tracking hours and expenses.
- Ability to travel occasionally based on project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop engineering work plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Conduct conceptual design and feasibility studies.
- Prepare construction cost estimates.
- Perform cable system design and detailed engineering including specifications and drawings.
- Support projects during the construction phase.
- Interact with internal team members and external clients.
- Participate in industry-related events and conferences.
