Requirements
- Direct permitting/expediting experience in San Francisco and/or San Mateo County.
- In-depth knowledge of local jurisdiction regulations and requirements.
- Ability to operate independently as an outside consultant without daily oversight.
- Background in high-end single-family residential projects is a plus.
- Active architecture license is preferred but not required.
- Availability for approximately 4 hours per week plus a weekly consulting call.
Responsibilities
- Prepare property development and feasibility analysis including zoning, FAR, setbacks, and entitlement constraints.
- Manage the end-to-end permitting process including submittals and plan check responses.
- Coordinate directly with local planning and building departments.
- Proactively identify and communicate project risks or schedule delays.
- Participate in weekly consulting calls to report status and advise on strategy.
