Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, with 3+ years specifically in AWS production environments.
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation).
- Proven experience managing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
- Experience operating Amazon EKS or ECS clusters in production.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash (Go or PowerShell a plus).
- Deep knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, key management, and compliance.
- Experience implementing cloud monitoring, observability, and reliability practices.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including security and reliability engineers.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional certification preferred.
- Experience with AWS Organizations, zero-trust networking, FinOps, or regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FedRAMP) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise AWS environments across compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed services.
- Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Build and manage AWS multi-account environments, including landing zones, centralized logging, and governance controls.
- Design secure networking architectures including VPCs, transit gateways, VPNs, and Direct Connect integrations.
- Implement enterprise IAM strategies using roles, permission boundaries, and AWS SSO.
- Design, deploy, and operate container platforms including Amazon EKS and ECS.
- Manage AWS data and analytics services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Glue, and Kinesis.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives through right-sizing, lifecycle management, and architectural improvements.
- Strengthen cloud security posture using AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, Inspector, Config, and CloudTrail.
