Requirements
- Familiarity with the Node.js runtime and the JavaScript ecosystem.
- Strong web application security fundamentals and current knowledge of practical exploitation.
- A working sense of how detection rules behave at scale.
- Ability to operate as a self-starter across PM, architect, lead engineer, and QA functions.
- Proficiency in directing AI coding agents to high-quality output.
- Experience with runtime-protection products, application firewalls, or instrumentation tooling.
- Background in malware analysis or incident response.
- Familiarity with managed-hosting environments.
- Public security research, vulnerability disclosures, or detection rulesets.
Responsibilities
- Define the product roadmap, features, and customer-visible surface for a new runtime protection line.
- Develop the technical approach, including instrumentation strategy and deployment architecture.
- Implement the product end-to-end, utilizing available LLM tooling and development infrastructure.
- Build conviction in detection logic by leveraging cross-layer threat intelligence and petabyte-scale data.
- Monitor performance metrics including runtime overhead, false positives, false negatives, and customer escalations.
- Iterate on research and development to protect Node.js workloads against modern vulnerabilities.
