1–3 years of professional software or data engineering experience.
Solid foundation in Python.
Deep understanding of SQL and ETL/ELT for complex data transformations.
Proficiency in reading and writing unit tests within an established codebase.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
Basic knowledge of data pipeline concepts: ingestion, idempotency, scheduling, and data quality.
Familiarity with Git-based version control and PR-based code review workflows.
Ability to analyze requirements and troubleshoot technical blockers.
Strong communication skills for documenting PRs and escalating issues effectively.
Growth mindset and ability to incorporate review feedback.
Knowledge of technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, dbt, Tableau, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.

Implement ingestion pipelines and Airflow DAGs based on senior engineer designs, including code, unit tests, and documentation.
Support data security and governance initiatives, such as PII masking and access controls.
Contribute to data delivery tasks, including reverse ETL integrations, under senior guidance.
Maintain and extend fields in existing pipelines, applying feedback and established patterns.
Handle on-call responsibilities for pipeline failures, using runbooks and escalating with context.
Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve data integrity issues.
Participate in code and system inspections to ensure best practices are followed.
Work with internal stakeholders including BI analysts and data scientists to clarify requirements.
