Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience using the Microsoft technology stack.
- 2+ years of experience leading software development teams or acting in a technical leadership role within a corporate environment.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and proven ability to guide Agile development teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience designing database schemas, developing stored procedures, and writing complex SQL queries using SQL Server.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including continuous integration, build and release processes, testing strategies, and source code management.
- Ability to bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools with an understanding of responsible and ethical implementation.
- Experience working with cloud development environments, especially Microsoft Azure (preferred).
- Experience with Angular, Ajax, SQL Server 2016+, offshore development teams, or healthcare/insurance billing systems (a plus).
Responsibilities
- Lead software development projects from initial requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement.
- Balance technical leadership responsibilities with hands-on development, dedicating significant time to writing and reviewing high-quality software solutions.
- Facilitate daily development team meetings, coordinate project discussions, and ensure teams remain aligned on priorities and deliverables.
- Partner with business operations teams and stakeholders to refine requirements, validate solutions, and ensure technology initiatives address real business needs.
- Manage project backlogs, including features, product backlog items, tasks, and defects, while prioritizing work based on business value and technical considerations.
- Assign development tasks, define expectations, track progress, and support team members in achieving project objectives.
- Identify cross-team dependencies, remove blockers, and improve development efficiency through effective planning and collaboration.
- Promote strong software engineering practices, including iterative development, automated testing, source control, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance productivity, quality, and engineering workflows.
- Mentor software engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
