Requirements
- Advanced medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent), PharmD or PhD.
- 10+ years of medical affairs experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry.
- Experience in rare diseases.
- Proven track record of building and leading field medical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to inform and shape company/product strategy cross-functionally.
- Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and standards governing field medical interactions.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to travel at least quarterly to Boston, MA headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute all field medical strategy and tactics, including driving field intelligence.
- Hire and lead the national field medical team.
- Partner with scientific communications lead to develop scientific onboarding plans and field materials.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Development, and Patient Advocacy to support clinical trials.
- Support market access efforts by developing field medical support for payer activities.
- Lead and execute KOL engagement, advocacy, and advisory board plans.
- Manage field medical congress strategy, including pre- and post-conference deliverables.
- Lead the quarterly strategic insights process and communicate key findings to senior leadership.
