Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in MDM, data governance, or data-driven transformation projects.
- Proven leadership competence in cross-departmental projects and building MDM governance structures in medium-sized companies.
- Expert understanding of end-to-end master data processes (Product, Customer, Supplier, Finance).
- Sound knowledge of SAP S/4HANA within the master data context.
- Familiarity with ERP, PIM (e.g., Akeneo), CRM, WMS, or PLM (e.g., Centric) systems.
- Practical knowledge regarding data models and system integrations.
- Structured, analytical, and strategic mindset with high-level documentation quality.
- Strong communication and moderation skills to drive organizational change.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Ideally possess solid industry expertise in FMCG, food, dietary supplements, or retail.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for global MDM strategy, roadmap, and data governance framework including data ownership definitions.
- Build a central MDM Center of Competence (CoC) and establish internal standards and expertise.
- Lead the MDM team functionally and disciplinarily while coordinating Business and Technical Data Stewards.
- Design the Master Data Operating Model (MDOM) and end-to-end, cross-domain master data processes.
- Act as a bridge to business units and lead strategic governance committees.
- Define and monitor MDM metrics (KPIs) using dashboards and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the MDM data architecture team to translate strategic guidelines into technical solutions.
- Promote a cultural shift toward active data ownership across the organization.
