Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of Looker, including Semantic Layer, LookML, Liquid, and administration.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including window functions and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Intermediate knowledge of dbt.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD principles, and data modeling methodologies (e.g., Kimball, Data Vault).
- Ability to write Python for workflow automation and API interaction.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring an engineering team in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for documentation, Jira management, and building repeatable processes.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach the Analytics Engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving individual career growth.
- Manage team capacity, sprint priorities, and recruitment to ensure effective resource planning.
- Design, develop, and maintain centralized Looker semantic models while enforcing coding and performance standards.
- Implement and manage robust version control and deployment pipelines using GitLab.
- Partner with Data Engineering to optimize table structures for downstream analytical performance.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data models for Corporate, Marketing, CS, Sales, and GTM Ops teams.
- Automate manual workflows using Python scripts, Looker API integrations, or Agentic AI.
