Requirements

  • Master's degree in biostatistics or a closely related field.
  • At least 4 years of consulting or related experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience managing large datasets in a healthcare environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with SAS or R programming for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with logistic regression, time-to-event (survival), and observational data analysis methods.
  • Solid understanding of clinical research fundamentals and model building.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent validation and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the design of clinical research studies.
  • Write biostatistical analysis plans for research proposals and internal grants.
  • Calculate sample size and power for clinical studies.
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret study data and results.
  • Contribute to study publications and manuscript preparation.
  • Educate residents and staff on statistical techniques and methods of analysis.
  • Provide statistical consultations or collaborations with clinical principal investigators.
  • Develop methods of data collection and prepare publication quality graphics.
