Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or similar
- 7+ years professional experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Technical expertise related to industrial water use and wastewater discharge
- Knowledge of water efficiency techniques, water policy, and permitting
- Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure construction and operations for data centers (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with NPDES permits, industrial pre-treatment permits, and decentralized wastewater systems
- Experience working with water and wastewater utilities in the United States
- Proven track record managing multiple projects and coordinating with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% for company gatherings or site visits
Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement strategy for water assessment, commercial certainty, and compliance across a portfolio of data center projects
- Develop customer and external-facing water narrative to support sustainability and infrastructure goals
- Monitor external factors including water policy, quality, and legal rights to address risks
- Assess water risk and delivery feasibility for potential data center sites
- Manage external relationships with local water authorities and partners
- Negotiate supply agreements with service providers for water rights and infrastructure
- Facilitate cross-team coordination between Development, Engineering, Design, Construction, and Operations
- Oversee compliance with water withdrawals and end-user agreements
- Implement the corporate water stewardship program
