Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Completion of a two-year investment banking program followed by additional experience in private equity, consulting, banking, or a similar environment.
  • 3–8 years of in-house finance experience, preferably within a high-growth or startup environment.
  • Experience working in SaaS or technology companies is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, three-statement forecasting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience building complex financial models.
  • Familiarity with SQL and experience analyzing large, complex datasets.
  • Proven ability to support or lead M&A transactions, fundraising activities, or strategic financial initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial information and communicate insights effectively to executives and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and optimize finance operations by combining financial expertise, analytical rigor, and strategic thinking.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define, monitor, and improve key performance indicators across the organization.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to translate operational metrics into actionable financial insights and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain financial forecasting tools, operating models, and reporting frameworks to improve business predictability.
  • Own the financial planning and budgeting lifecycle, connecting business objectives with financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve return on investment, increase efficiency, and support sustainable growth.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis to support major business initiatives, including product launches, market expansion, operational changes, and potential acquisitions.
  • Improve financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Support executive leadership and board-level discussions through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Assist with fundraising activities, investor communications, and other strategic finance initiatives.
  • Support and evaluate M&A opportunities and other high-impact corporate finance projects.
