Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD, Genetic Counseling, or other advanced healthcare degree.
- 3+ years of medical affairs or field medical experience.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Verifiable record of high performance.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to create and sustain relationships with industry leaders.
- Ability to participate in scientific dialogue with KOLs and researchers.
- Strong teaching and presentation skills.
- Understanding of clinical research and pharmaceutical product development and approval processes.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time, including some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, develop, and manage a team of high-performing MSLs.
- Foster a team culture of accountability and develop a proactive approach to growing skillsets.
- Provide strategic direction for MSL development and execution of comprehensive territory medical plans.
- Ensure high quality presentations and interactions through quantitative and qualitative MSL data tracking.
- Share knowledge and conduct internal/external education regarding KOL and site profiling.
- Develop relationships with healthcare professionals, providing scientific information about product development and research.
- Manage issues and address unsolicited questions about product safety and potential off-label use.
- Assist in identifying potential investigators and research projects, including investigator-sponsored trials.
