Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product management.
- 4+ years of experience shipping consumer-facing products powered by LLMs and/or quantitative ML models.
- Deep familiarity with Chess.com products and the history of chess in AI.
- Technical fluency with the ability to discuss pipelines, data, and AI-assisted code with engineering teams.
- Experience defining evaluation criteria and making decisions based on incomplete data.
- Ability to operate in an async, remote-first environment.
- Proficiency in building working prototypes to pressure-test product ideas.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain substantial overlap with US Eastern and Pacific time zones.
Responsibilities
- Shape the AI/ML roadmap and vision, including near-term plans and long-term goals for features like Game Review and Play Coach.
- Engage with leadership and peer feedback to refine product strategy and build a shared vision.
- Operate in a public, async communication environment, prioritizing transparency and clarity in Slack.
- Partner closely with engineering from technical discovery through to final delivery.
- Define success criteria and evaluation metrics, balancing qualitative product feedback with quantitative model performance.
- Use AI tools to build prototypes, test flows, and evaluate models to accelerate development.
