Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8–10+ years of ROI operations, privacy, compliance, or client success experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Expertise in HIPAA, HITECH, and Omnibus Final Rule.
- Experience with Office for Civil Rights (OCR) guidance, regulatory inquiry, and audit response processes.
- Knowledge of federal ROI requirements and state medical record/privacy laws.
- Proven ability to translate privacy requirements into operational policies, SOPs, and quality controls.
- Experience with incident investigation, documentation, and cross-functional breach response.
- Strong executive presence and ability to lead escalated client-facing discussions.
- Proficiency with EHR technology such as Epic, Allscripts, Cerner, or NextGen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to conduct presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Privacy credentials such as RHIA, CHPS, or CHPC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own operational execution of privacy and ROI compliance across assigned portfolios, regions, or client segments.
- Support the Chief Privacy Officer in setting privacy strategy and assessing enterprise risk.
- Interpret HIPAA, state medical record laws, and client contracts to develop policies, SOPs, and training materials.
- Lead internal, client, and regulatory audits, including OCR investigations and development of audit response strategies.
- Drive root-cause analysis for compliance incidents and implement sustainable remediation plans.
- Oversee privacy and security incident investigations and required reporting.
- Collaborate with Legal, Security, Product, and Operations to embed compliance into product adoption and renewals.
- Manage and mentor a team of professionals to achieve compliance outcomes.
