Requirements
- 4+ years in a project management, delivery, or QA role, ideally on a small engineering team.
- Ability to reproduce bugs, read stack traces, and write test cases.
- Hands-on QA experience owning testing and bug pipelines (manual or automated).
- Proficiency using AI tools to automate work.
- Good judgment regarding process implementation and maintenance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in environments with ambiguity and small-team dynamics.
- Passion for education and social impact.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or Django (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Capybara, RSpec, or comparable testing tools (nice-to-have).
- Experience working with product managers and non-technical stakeholders (nice-to-have).
- Experience serving as the first project manager or QA hire on a team (nice-to-have).
Responsibilities
- Keep engineering projects organized and moving by tracking in-flight work and flagging blockers.
- Own quality processes, including testing builds and using AI to automate repetitive tasks.
- Run the bug pipeline by reproducing issues, prioritizing them, routing to engineers, and confirming fixes.
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison between engineers, product managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Determine when to implement processes or rituals, balancing structure with team efficiency.
- Report on status updates for leadership and team visibility.
