Requirements
- 7+ years in Software Engineering, with 3+ years in SRE, Platform Engineering, or similar.
- Experience with Government or Sovereign Cloud environments (e.g., Azure Government, AWS GovCloud).
- Experience in regulated compliance environments (FedRAMP, CMMC, IL2/IL4/IL5, PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Strong proficiency in building and running production services on cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
- Ability to investigate systems independently using code, documentation, and architecture artifacts.
- Strong experience in programming languages such as TypeScript/JS, Go, Java, or C#.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or ELK stack.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Pulumi) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, FluxCD).
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, networking, and cloud-native architecture.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain documentation, architecture artifacts, and runbooks for the full VDC platform.
- Design and implement high-availability infrastructure on Azure Government.
- Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Lead incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Identify reliability risks and execute remediation plans within compliance constraints.
- Establish observability standards, including alerting and telemetry.
- Automate infrastructure and delivery pipelines, including IaC and CI/CD for restricted environments.
