Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university plus 6-8 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of end-to-end Appian development experience in Appian Designer.
- Expertise in building Appian SAIL interfaces including complex forms, grids, and responsive layouts.
- Deep knowledge of BPM and workflow design (process models, subprocess patterns, and exception handling).
- Experience with data modeling, record types, and SQL including relational data modeling, joins, and stored procedures.
- Proficiency in integration development using Integration Objects, Connected Systems, and Web APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Understanding of security design including groups, roles, and object/record-level security.
- Experience with performance optimization, query tuning, and interface performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with deployment, packaging, versioning strategies, and SDLC practices.
- Strong understanding and application of Agile development methodology.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in solution architecture, standards, governance, and mentoring.
- Must provide own reliable, high-speed internet access.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a design authority for Appian solutions, guiding architecture and design decisions across applications.
- Lead delivery of high-complexity Appian solutions, including case management, record-centric applications, integrations, and reporting.
- Define, evolve, and enforce Appian standards and patterns for data, records, interfaces, processes, reporting, and performance.
- Enable and mentor other Appian developers through reviews, guidance, and structured knowledge sharing.
- Reduce reliance on external vendors by building internal Appian self-sufficiency.
- Ensure solutions adhere to platform guardrails, performance best practices, and security requirements.
- Partner with product, business, and platform teams to align Appian solutions to business outcomes.
- Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and security teams to ensure Appian solutions scale safely and reliably.
