Job Details

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

Requirements

J.D. or equivalent degree.
Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience practicing law.
Significant experience managing client relationships and providing compliance advice on complex legal issues.
Ability to analyze and synthesize complex legal authorities.
Commitment to advancing reproductive health, rights, and justice.
Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
Ability to articulate risk mitigation strategies and advise on a broad array of legal matters.
Ability to travel domestically on an airplane 3-5 times per year.
Supervisory experience (strongly preferred, at least two years).

Responsibilities

Advise clients on matters concerning reproductive health law and related legal issues.
Conduct legal research, analysis, and prepare research or advice memos.
Maintain effective working relationships with clients and co-counsel.
Conduct intake interviews with prospective clients.
Supervise Legal Counsel, Legal Fellows, and interns as needed.
Mentor less experienced attorneys, support personnel, and law students.
Represent the organization at conferences, convenings, and speaking engagements.
Participate in working groups with allied organizations.
