Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, Global Health, or a related quantitative or social science field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting quantitative research in policy-relevant domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise in econometrics, machine learning, applied statistics, or quantitative data science.
  • Extensive experience with Python and R; working knowledge of Stata.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing data analytics tools such as forecasting, geospatial analyses, and LLM models.
  • Prior research experience in development economics, health economics, or international development.
  • Experience managing complex projects and working with government, nonprofit, or philanthropic clients.
  • Experience in business development and fundraising within the global health space.
  • Strong writing and communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex research initiatives and design innovative analytical frameworks for global health programs.
  • Develop and implement machine learning and predictive analytics workflows using Python and R.
  • Integrate survey, administrative, and geospatial data to generate insights for low- and middle-income countries.
  • Translate analytical results into actionable recommendations for policymakers and donors.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate data-driven approaches into development projects.
  • Support business development, including drafting technical approaches and engaging with major international donors.
  • Mentor and supervise junior researchers and data scientists to foster technical excellence.
