Requirements
- Ph.D. in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, Global Health, or a related quantitative or social science field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience conducting quantitative research in policy-relevant domains.
- Demonstrated expertise in econometrics, machine learning, applied statistics, or quantitative data science.
- Extensive experience with Python and R; working knowledge of Stata.
- Proven track record of designing and executing data analytics tools such as forecasting, geospatial analyses, and LLM models.
- Prior research experience in development economics, health economics, or international development.
- Experience managing complex projects and working with government, nonprofit, or philanthropic clients.
- Experience in business development and fundraising within the global health space.
- Strong writing and communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex research initiatives and design innovative analytical frameworks for global health programs.
- Develop and implement machine learning and predictive analytics workflows using Python and R.
- Integrate survey, administrative, and geospatial data to generate insights for low- and middle-income countries.
- Translate analytical results into actionable recommendations for policymakers and donors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate data-driven approaches into development projects.
- Support business development, including drafting technical approaches and engaging with major international donors.
- Mentor and supervise junior researchers and data scientists to foster technical excellence.
