Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping native iOS apps to the App Store.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and UIKit.
- Comfort working across a mixed Swift and Objective-C codebase.
- Proven depth in custom UI/text rendering or real-time media-audio synchronization.
- Strong knowledge of the iOS app lifecycle, including concurrency, thread-safety, and local persistence.
- Experience managing a release pipeline, including CI, code signing, TestFlight, and App Store distribution.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Epic's native iOS app across iPhone and iPad, managing a large Swift and Objective-C codebase.
- Own the reading experience, including in-house book rendering and audio-text synchronization.
- Manage offline reading features, in-app purchases, and the App Store release pipeline.
- Drive the application's performance, stability, and overall quality.
- Partner with Android, backend, and web engineering teams on cross-functional features.
- Develop cross-platform mobile engineering skills by ramping into Android/Kotlin development.
