Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and understandable code.
- Experience making significant changes in large code bases with safe tooling and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach to seeking feedback and taking ownership of professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team.
- Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Articulate technical constraints and partner on decisions regarding risks and trade-offs.
- Proactively identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support the operations and availability of team artifacts through monitoring, metrics, and on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards.
